Milsupllc is seeking a Range Training Officer to provide real-time mission support during air combat training events, ensuring safe, accurate, and effective execution of mission objectives.

The role requires a pilot or navigator background with extensive flight hours and a Secret clearance with SCI/SAP/SAR eligibility, plus strong planning, writing, and oral communication skills. You will coordinate scenarios, timelines, and range requirements in collaboration with planners and staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Security clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance with SCI/SAP/SAR eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time mission support and range oversight during air combat training events.
  • Serve as Range Training Officer for Large Force Exercises (e.g., Red Flag).
  • Apply flying experience to facilitate mission execution and training effectiveness.
  • Coordinate mission planning activities: scenarios, threat laydowns, timelines, frequencies, airspace usage, and range requirements.
  • Collaborate with exercise planners, mission commanders, range personnel, and operations staff to synchronize training objectives with range capabilities.

Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Training and Experience:

  • Possessed a qualification as a Pilot or Navigator/Combat Systems Officer with a minimum of 500 flying hours of military aircraft in one or more of the following Mission Design Series (MDS): USMC/USN: F-18 or F-35 or USAF – F-16C, F-15C/E, F-35, F-22 fighter with Large Force RTO experience (preferred).
  • Exemption from the aircrew qualification for RTOs may apply if applicant is a Weapons Director/Controller with a minimum of 5 years of tactical air-to-air weapons control experience with a minimum 300 missions controlled, and Large Force controlling experience (required).
  • Must have active missile air-to-air weapons employment experience and application of shot and kill criteria. Weapons Directors/Controllers must have controlled missions and conducted RTO duties using active missile shot and kill criteria.

General Skills:

Must possess highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills, oral communication skills, project management skills, ability to schedule workflow, prioritize, delegate, meet deadlines, and be multi-task oriented.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in performing office automation duties on government information systems using current software platforms such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Security Clearance:

Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance with SCI/SAP/SAR eligibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide real-time mission support, coordination, and range oversight during air combat training events, ensuring safe, accurate, and effective execution of mission objectives.
  • Serve as Range Training Officers for Large Force Exercises, including Red Flag, delivering expert oversight of air-to-air engagements, tactical decision-making, and range operations.
  • Apply extensive flying experience to facilitate mission execution, tactical realism, and training effectiveness.
  • Facilitate mission planning activities by coordinating scenarios, threat laydowns, timelines, frequencies, airspace usage, and range requirements.
  • Collaborate with exercise planners, mission commanders, range personnel, and operations staff to synchronize training objectives with range capabilities and threat simulations.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
