Job summary

Dexis is seeking a Range Support Technician to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program. The role includes data collection, technical writing, range scheduling, and administrative support essential to the government’s test mission.

Work is principally onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland, with occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel. You will help schedule resources, prepare and review plans, and ensure range safety and environmental requirements are integrated into scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with commercial data and word processing software, including SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule physical and personnel resources associated with firing systems and ammunition testing, automotive materiel testing, range training activities, and non-firing mission requirements.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and commentary on plans and documents related to assigned projects.
• Gather information and perform literature searches in support of assigned projects.
• Assist in integrating range safety and environmental policies into the scheduling process.
• Assist in scheduling daily tests and related operations.
• Assist in producing daily, weekly, and projected monthly schedules.
• Attend scheduling meetings with senior government technical personnel to discuss and resolve scheduling and operational problems.
• Apply established methods, procedures, and techniques, as well as non-standard applications.
• Use tact and diplomacy to obtain cooperation during scheduling and negotiate trade-offs involving facilities, instrumentation, data, time, and operational restrictions.
