Job summary

Innovative Reasoning, LLC is seeking a Range Safety Specialist to support the Range Safety Officer and Range Control across the installation. You will review conflicts, monitor compliance with safety policies, and conduct inspections to ensure safe operations at Quantico ranges.

The role involves coordinating with using units, preparing weekly airspace reports, and delivering safety data while ensuring adherence to Marine Corps procedures. Must be able to work at MCB Quantico, VA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent writing and communications skills to coordinate effectively.
• Analytical expertise in communication, coordination, writing and MS Office.
• Resident knowledge of Marine Corps and installation safety orders, manuals, procedures.

Responsibilities

• In coordination with the Range Safety Officer, make recommendations to resolve range and safety conflicts for range requests not covered by the installation range SOP.
• Conduct a semiannual review of conflicts against the installation range SOP.
• Review updates to the Installation Range SOP and reflect changes in RFMSS tables.
• Develop a range safety inspection schedule and deliver to the Range Safety Officer for approval.
• Inspect ranges for safety violations and verify ranges are in working condition.
• Deliver range incident reports from the RFMSS ad-hoc reports module.
• Work with units to adjust schedules and input SDZ/WDZ data.
• Conduct daily gate control access sheet to support Range Control staff.
• Update suspension dates in RFMSS-MC as needed.
• Coordinate meetings with units to confirm training requirements.
