Job summary

SA-TECH at Dugway Proving Ground seeks a Range Controller to manage hazardous testing environments and ensure safe airspace operations. You will coordinate and control activities, assess risks, and advise on procedures to protect personnel and equipment.

The role requires a HS diploma, DoD security clearance, and the ability to pass drug screening; US citizenship is required. Field and indoor work may be required, with PPE and occasional lifting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of range operations principles, practices and requirements.
• Experience planning, coordinating and controlling testing or training events to identify and eliminate hazards.
• Familiarity with air traffic control procedures for manned/unmanned aircraft within restricted airspace.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• U.S. citizenship with DoD security clearance prior to hire date and maintenance of clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate/control, identify and eliminate hazardous conditions arising from testing or training events within DPG boundaries.
• Use air traffic control procedures to safely handle manned and unmanned aircraft within DPG airspace.
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced in testing arenas of chemical, biological, aviation, artillery and commodity testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
