Job summary

Sorrel River Ranch seeks a hands-on Water Treatment Operator / Maintenance Supervisor to manage potable water, septic and irrigation systems, and regulatory compliance. The role leads maintenance staff, plans daily operations, and ensures safety and efficiency at the Moab, Utah property.

Ideal candidate has Utah Level III Water Distribution certification, 5+ years supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance, in a remote ranch setting.

Qualifications

• Utah Level III Water Distribution certification required.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in water utility operations preferred.
• Experience with water distribution, recharge systems, backflow, telemetry, and conservation operations.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in a similar facility.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
• Experience managing equipment, labor, materials and costs.
• Leadership, coaching, and employee performance.
• Safe use of power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Proficiency with computers and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain potable water systems per Utah requirements.
• Maintain Utah Level III certification.
• Complete water testing, records, and regulatory docs on time.
• Oversee septic, irrigation, distribution, backflow, telemetry and related systems.
• Plan and prioritize daily maintenance and water ops.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs.
• Oversee plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs.
• Lead, train, schedule and evaluate maintenance staff.
• Ensure safety, quality, organization and performance standards.
• Prepare reports, plans, specs and operational docs.
