Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Chicken Grow Out Training Program.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fryers and fryer ranch activities with the Ranch Manager.
• Assist with setup, brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccinations, and medications to maintain quality.
• Maintain ranch facilities and coordinate with maintenance for materials and service.
• Enforce strict sanitation, monitor bird health, and report abnormalities.
• React to emergencies affecting chickens day or night.
• Manage and control ranch production costs including labor, fuel, and supplies.
• Keep accurate records on feed, mortality, production, and energy use.
• Provide training and assign duties to ranch staff; enforce safety and animal welfare guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
