Job summary

Foster Farms in California's Merced region seeks a hands-on Ranch Assistant to support daily operations and fryer maintenance. You will help with feeding, mortality removal, sanitation, and equipment adjustments on site.

You'll assist with the grow-out program, monitor temperatures and ventilation, and help with vaccination and medication under supervision. Safety and animal welfare are priority.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Able to lift and move 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day ranch operations and fryers, including feeding, mortality removal, equipment adjustments, and sanitation.
• Assist grow-out program: brooding temps, ventilation, mortality, vaccination, and medication.
• Coordinate feed deliveries and maintain feed/fuel inventories; keep facilities and equipment in good condition.
• Support sanitation, disease protection, and bio-security; report issues to Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.
