Job summary

Pet King Brands Inc. seeks a Ranch Operations Manager to lead Stella Vista Verde Ranch. You will supervise livestock care, grazing, health checks, and daily operations, ensuring safety and efficiency across facilities and equipment.

You will recruit and train staff, manage budgets, and drive sustainable practices while fostering collaboration with the executive team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of ranch management experience.
  • Knowledge of livestock health, nutrition, and breeding.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and environmentally friendly ranching practices.
  • Budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Experience in staff management, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including resolving conflicts and building relationships with staff, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or related field (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the ranch.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor and control feed, equipment, and other ranch resource expenses.
  • Implement strategies to maximize revenue through sustainable ranching practices.
  • Implement and oversee sustainable farming and ranching practices to minimize environmental impact.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and conservation standards.
  • Maintain and manage ranch equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate repairs and replacements as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Build positive relationships with local communities, neighbors, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the ranch in a professional manner at industry events and meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Pet King Brands Inc. is hiring a Ranch Operations Manager responsible for the overall operation and management of Stella Vista Verde Ranch, a Pet King Brands Inc. division. The Ranch Operations Manager will be an essential Stella Vista Verde Ranch team member and will work closely with the executive team. This role will coordinate the daily ranch operations, supervise and maintain staff, ensure the safety and health of all guests and animals, and manage the maintenance of all equipment and facilities.

Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of ranch management experience, including livestock and land management or a similar agricultural role.

  • Knowledge of livestock health, nutrition, and breeding.

  • Experience in staff management, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including resolving conflicts and building relationships with staff, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to operate and maintain ranch equipment.

  • Experience with PC software Windows and Microsoft Products (MS 360 Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or related field (preferred).

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Work hours 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with some weekend work once a month as needed.

  • Must have a reliable mode of commuting or be willing to relocate near Medina Countybefore starting work (this is mandatory).

  • Ability to handle physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, and humidity).

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

  • Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push, or pull materials, products, or equipment.

  • Frequently bend at the waist; climb; balance; stand; walk; talk; hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects; control tools or equipment; kneel, crouch, and reach.

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.

  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places

  • Work with specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles.
