Job summary

Hansen Ag Placement is seeking a Ranch Assistant for a family-operated livestock and farming operation in South Dakota to support daily operations across a diversified cattle and crop enterprise. This role is ideal for someone with strong feedlot experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity with potential to grow into more responsibility over time.

Hourly rate starting at $25/hour and up DOE. You will operate feed wagons, monitor cattle health, sort and move livestock, drive non-CDL

Qualifications

• Experience with feedlots and cattle handling.
• Ability to operate feed equipment independently.
• Comfortable driving trucks and operating machinery.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed wagon and manage feed equipment.
• Daily feeding and monitoring of cattle health and performance.
• Sorting, processing, and handling livestock.
• Drive non-CDL trucks for hauling feed, hay, manure, and materials.
• Maintain feedlot pens: scraping, manure handling and pen upkeep.
• Assist with general ranch and farming duties as needed.
