Job summary

Bar Cross Ranch in Southwest Wyoming is seeking a Ranch Equipment & Field Technician to support operations with hands-on maintenance of equipment, irrigation, and facilities. You will collaborate with the ranch team to keep fences, housing, and water systems in top condition.

A Technical Degree or Certificate in Equipment Maintenance and 5–7 years of related experience are preferred. On-site availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays; you must be proactive, safety-minded,

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate in equipment maintenance preferred.
• 5–7 years repairing agricultural, vehicle, and irrigation equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, diesel, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with computers and mobile devices in the workplace.
• On-site presence required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Safety minded about equipment, team members, livestock, and surroundings.
• Daily communication and record management with Ranch Manager, Operations Team, and Owner on all aspects of the Ranch.
• Attend and train on areas of responsibility to improve knowledge and share ranch operation best practices continuously.
• Assist ranch team, owner, guests and community.
• Repair and maintenance of ranch facilities; including fences, corals, irrigation infrastructure, assigned equipment, and housing/landscaping.
• Water stewardship, including irrigation and livestock watering facilities.
• Execute all duties in an efficient and effective fiscal and operational manner.
• Excellent time management in group and independent tasks.

Southwest Wyoming Bar Cross Ranch - Family‑owned, historical working ranch located in the Upper Green River Valley of Sublette County, Wyoming near Cora and Pinedale, Wyoming.

Job Summary

As an integral member of the ranch and facilities team, the Ranch Equipment & Field Technician at Bar Cross Ranch holds a key role in making sure operations run and run smoothly. This person must possess diverse knowledge of a working ranch with strong equipment maintenance/operation and irrigation skills. Teamwork and execution of responsibilities are of the utmost importance. Additionally, the individual must be able to think on their feet, provide input to the process, and make adjustments as needed. Work ethic and a high level of integrity go hand-in-hand with safety, collaboration, and a professional approach to the position.

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Certificate in Equipment Maintenance preferred
• 5 - 7 Years of experience maintaining and repairing agricultural, vehicle, and irrigation equipment, including Mechanical, Diesel, and Hydraulics
• Computer, mobile device, and equipment technology experience
• Available on-site on a regular schedule and during special flex periods to include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Requires physically demanding activities including, hiking, lifting, climbing, and carrying heavy equipment up to 100 pounds while working in extreme weather conditions and remote areas
• Driver's License
