Job summary

SkyChefs in Seattle is seeking an Operations Supervisor Transportation to oversee ground-level catering and loading operations on a 24/7 schedule.

Lead frontline teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive performance through scheduling, training, accountability, and the ability to adapt to shift changes and tight deadlines in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Experience with union/hourly staff and proficiency with workforce management and reporting systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership in transportation/logistics/ramp operations.
• Experience leading union/hourly workforces.
• Familiarity with OSHA, FAA, TSA safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily ramp operations, including loading and unloading of catering equipment and supplies.
• Manages ramp personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, FAA, TSA).
• Conducts regular safety inspections and training sessions.
• Coordinates with flight operations and catering teams to ensure timely loading of aircraft.
• Monitors and optimizes ramp efficiency, including equipment utilization and workflow.
• Resolves operational issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintains accurate records and reports on ramp activities and performance metrics.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
