Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks a Ramp Tower Controller to manage aircraft movement in the non-movement area at DEN. You will coordinate deicing, gate assignments, and communications with FAA, airlines, and other stakeholders.

Role requires working 24/7 shifts, including nights and holidays, with mandatory overtime during emergencies. High school diploma and 4 years in aviation operations are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FAA regulations and airport operations to coordinate and manage emergencies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate radios and gate management systems.
• High attention to safety and ability to coordinate with FAA, airlines and city agencies.

Responsibilities

• Issue push, taxi, safety advisory and instructions to aircraft in the non-movement area.
• Instruct aircraft during low visibility conditions using point-to-point instructions.
• Control movement of aircraft and coordinate gate parking in the non-movement area.
• Assist Ramp Tower Supervisor with emergencies, security issues, and unusual events.
• Coordinate activities with FAA, airlines, deice companies, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and train new incumbents and document daily evaluations.
• Remain current on laws, regulations, and TSA directives.
