City and County of Denver seeks an Airport Maintenance Technician for Denver International Airport. The role performs semi-skilled labor on runways, taxiways, and roadways, with snow removal duties and heavy equipment operation on a four 10-hour day schedule.

FAA regulations and security clearances are required, and the position is on-site at DEN. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
• One year of experience in construction, mechanical, or maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License at time of application.
• Must obtain and maintain Airport ID badge and LAR driving privileges.
• Background check and pre-employment requirements may apply.

Responsabilités

• Participates in 12-hour rotating shifts for airfield snow removal with specialized equipment.
• Responds to after-hours or emergency calls outside normal hours.
• Performs non-licensed tasks across trades: welding, asphalt and concrete, tool use.
• Installs and maintains roadways, signs, and fencing, and repairs surfaces.
• Assists with vegetation management and invasive weed control.
• Supports barricades, lighting, and safety devices to secure runways.
• Responds to airfield emergencies and escorts first responders as needed.
