Job Description

Directs the work of ramp agents as they unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. Operates small specialized ground support vehicles. Physical demands include heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents; allocate ramp agent resources as needed.
• Complete shift reports and clear all exceptions from the T&A system promptly.
• Ensure ramp personnel adhere to safety regulations.
• Read and interpret aircraft loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and routing tags.
• Assist in baggage handling.
• Operate ground support equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment tests, including drug screening.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Capable of lifting 70 lbs comfortably.
• At least one year of ramp experience preferred.
• Ability to complete training successfully.
• Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud environments. Must stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
