Job summary

Swissport is seeking ramp operations staff to efficiently direct ramp activities and deliver high‑quality services to customers. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $22.00–$24.00 per hour for full‑time employment with health and wellness benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and holidays.

You will supervise staff, ensure safety standards, liaise with airport authorities, and participate in meetings while maintaining strong customer relations and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year ramp service or related field experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Ground Service Equipment operation.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Valid unrestricted Provincial Driver's License, DA and Transport Security Clearance.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage staff to deliver excellent customer service.

• Develop and build good relations with customers and Airport authorities.
• Report irregularities and take appropriate action.
• Participate in internal and customer meetings.
• Conduct daily shift briefings and safety meetings/briefings.
• Liaise with OCC regarding daily workforce requirements.
• Build and maintain strong management/workforce relations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
• Oversee Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities to reduce injuries and equipment damage.

Job Summary

Your activities

• Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage

Your profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum one year experience in ramp service or related field
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge about operation of Ground Service Equipment
• Must possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Valid unrestricted Provincial Driver's License, DA and Transport Security Clearance
