Job summary

DO & CO AG is seeking a Ramp Safety Officer in Des Plaines to ensure safe, compliant airline catering ramp operations and ground transport activities. You will enforce safety SOPs, coordinate with teams, and monitor risk on airside and landside operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and compliant operations per SOPs, airport regulations, and airline requirements.
• Oversee ramp, ground, and transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient workflow.
• Ensure compliance with TSA, OSHA, DOT, and company policies, including all airside and landside safety standards.
• Enforce ramp safety policies and SOPs per airport, airline, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise drivers for compliance with airside driving rules and permits; verify ID badges.
• Conduct driver safety briefings and ramp safety training; ensure consistent safety practices.
• Monitor daily operations, identify hazards, and intervene to correct unsafe behavior; conduct inspections and risk assessments; investigate incidents; prepare reports.
