Menzies Aviation is seeking a Ramp Supervisor in Indianapolis to oversee unloading/loading, supervise ramp agents, and operate specialized vehicles. The role involves heavy lifting and working across weather conditions, with a focus on safety and training of staff.

The position requires prior ramp/airline experience, a valid US driver's license, and willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior Ramp/Airline experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• Must have read and signed the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual and the Station Security Manual.
• Must have high school diploma, GED.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed.
• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft.
• Ensure ramp personnel adhere to established safety regulations.
• Provide training to new employees.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of policy.
• Complete shift reports and sign timecards.
• Assist in the baggage handling area.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and baggage/cargo routing tags.
• Operate motorized equipment.
