Job summary

HHS Aviation is seeking a Ramp Agent at BDL Airport (Bradley International) in Windsor Locks, CT. The role involves ramp operations, baggage handling, cabin cleaning, GSE maintenance, and customer service to support airlines. Shifts include day, evening, and night with full-time and part-time options.

A background check and drug screen are required, with eligibility to work in the U.S. Wage is 18.25 USD per hour, with opportunities for professional growth and workplace safety programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and MVR (varies by airport).
• Must be willing to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment by following all HHS Aviation rules and regulations in the workplace.
• Unload and upload passenger baggage, cargo, and/or mail from aircraft bins onto bag carts.
• Prepare aircraft cabins between flights, replenishing necessary supplies for lavatories and galleys, and servicing aircraft lavatories.
• Tow aircraft to remote areas as needed, ensure availability of necessary ground equipment in the ramp area and backroom for upcoming flights, guide inbound aircraft into the ramp area of the assigned gate, and push outbound aircraft out of the gate area.
• Perform assigned administrative duties on a voluntary basis (e.g., GSE fluid inspections and appearance, FOD walks, washing equipment and removing trash from ramp area)

Ramp Agent

• Wage: 18.25/hour
• Full-time and part-time positions available

Provide oversight for a range of aircraft ground handling services, including ramp operations, baggage handling, cabin cleaning, ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, and customer service functions, to support airlines effectively.

Requirements

• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Report / MVR (varies by airport)
• Must be willing to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
• Must be willing to work in all types of elevated noise levels within the airport environment
