Job summary

Promise Resource Network Inc. is seeking a Hub Peer Support Specialist to provide trauma-informed, person-centered peer support within the Recovery Hub, Recovery Café, and harm reduction programs in Raleigh. This role emphasizes lived experience, mutual aid, and community wellness.

You will assist with daily operations, facilitate groups, perform outreach, manage inventory, and support visitors with inquiries while using multiple EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must identify as a person with lived recovery experience.
• CPSS in North Carolina or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Understanding of harm reduction, trauma-informed care.
• Ability to relate to diverse backgrounds, including homelessness and active substance use.
• Excellent communication, de-escalation and active listening skills.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests at the Recovery Café and foster a trauma-informed, welcoming space.
• Co-facilitate recovery circles, peer groups, or wellness activities as needed.
• Assist with Café operations, setup, cleanliness and participation tracking.
• Provide resources navigation and advocacy for recovery resources.
• Promote Recovery Café principles: radical hospitality and community healing.
• Maintain documentation and data entry per PRN policy using EHR systems.
