Job summary

Dewberry seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Raleigh, NC office to support building mechanical system design on a project team. The role emphasizes detail, design quality, and collaboration within a consulting engineering environment.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar equivalent.
Previous internship experience with a consulting engineering firm, a plus.
Certification as an Engineering Intern (NCEES) and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is a plus.
Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills are important throughout the design and construction process.
A valid driver's license is required. Occasional travel might be required.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of building mechanical system projects as part of a project team.
Support in detail-oriented design work and quality control throughout the process.
Collaborate on projects such as new multi-building facilities, retrofits, and energy studies.
