SMS Mill Services, LLC is seeking a motivated, safety-focused Rail Supervisor to support daily operations in a steel mill scrap environment. This entry-level leadership role offers a clear path to supervision and growth within a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will work alongside the crew in a lead/working capacity, coordinating tasks, assisting with projects, and stepping into a supervisory role during vacations or peak needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Leadership potential with desire to grow into supervisory role.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to be hands-on in operations.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills including Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside crews to support scrap handling, material movement, and production activities.
• Assist with coordinating daily tasks and keeping workflow moving efficiently.
• Serve as a go-to resource for employees on shift for questions and direction.
• Support housekeeping, organization, and yard efficiency.
• Help execute special projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
