Job summary

Silvi Materials in Bristol, PA is seeking a Railyard Operator/Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. The role combines railcar operations with maintenance of production-related equipment, requiring handling of overhead loading gear, conveyors, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in steel fabrication and welding preferred.
• Experience with electrical panels and electrical machinery.
• Experience in maritime/port/dock or cement/concrete industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Start up operations for overhead gantry loading equipment.
• Coordinate rail car orders and loading sequence.
• Instruct incoming deliveries on unloading procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory and BoLs records.
• Execute daily checks of loading equipment and routine checks.
• Minimize environmental impact of loading equipment.
• Maintain safe practices while handling and operating equipment.
• Follow directions from management.
• Work vessel unloading hours as directed.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Operate heavy machinery including forklift, front-end loader, telehandler, skid-steer.
