Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. (Parsec subsidiary) is seeking a dedicated Railyard Equipment Operator to support safe, efficient operations in an intermodal rail terminal.

You will start in the ground position, assist with loading/unloading, and may train as a hostler driver based on experience and availability. This role requires outdoor work in all weather, strong safety awareness, and the ability to communicate with rail staff.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment, especially forklifts and side loaders.
• Familiarity with railroad/intermodal environments.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong safety awareness and OSHA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard trucks/hostlers to move trailers and containers.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts and side loaders.
• Direct crane operators and prepare railcars by handling locks.
• Perform routine inspections and maintain yard cleanliness.
• Coordinate with rail staff to ensure timely loading/unloading.
