Job summary

BNSF Railway is seeking a Special Agent for Resource Protection in Flagstaff, AZ. You will safeguard assets, conduct investigations, and coordinate security operations across the rail network with travel as needed.

The role requires police training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lead teams in high-stress situations. Training occurs at Fort Worth, TX, and on-site as required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Satisfactorily completed basic police training at a state-certified academy.
• Must meet peace officer commissioning standards and hold a State Peace Officer license.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as required.
• Ability to use the company’s computer system for reports and databases.
• Must pass extensive background investigation and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Protect assets and resources including personnel and property.
• Conduct investigations and provide detailed reports; testify in court when required.
• Identify and handle trespassers on company property; make arrests as appropriate.
• Counsel company officials to reduce crime and improve security; coordinate emergency responses; supervise guards.
