Job summary

BNSF Railway is hiring a Police Officer to join the Resource Protection team in El Paso, with duties spanning safeguarding assets, conducting investigations, and coordinating responses to incidents. The role requires a valid peace officer license, rigorous training completion, and willingness to travel up to 50 miles from the assigned location.

Expect travel to corporate HQ in Fort Worth for training and on-site sessions, along with potential shifts to support critical operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have completed basic police training at a state certified academy.
• Must meet peace officer commissioning standards and maintain a valid State Peace Officer License.
• Must meet Resource Protection Solutions Team standards as a Special Agent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
• Must be able to use the company computer system for reports and databases.
• Must be physically and psychologically fit and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Protects and safeguards company assets and resources.
• Conducts investigations and provides reports and testimony when required.
• Identify and handle trespassers on company property and make arrests as appropriate.
• Counsels company officials to reduce crime and coordinate responses to emergencies.
• Perform aggressive crime prevention patrols of facilities, property, and trains.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
