Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with Ruby.
• Experience developing and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications and APIs.
• Ability to refine stakeholder requirements into well-scoped work.
• Strong code quality habits: tests, CI, reviews, secure coding.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and evaluating generated code.
• Clear communication in a remote, agile team.

Responsibilities

• Internal API use cases from discovery to delivery.
• Production Rails APIs: design, implement, test, review, release.
• Handle authentication, authorization, and sensitive data securely.
• Troubleshoot defects and API failures; improve maintainability.
• Evaluate workflows with stakeholders to confirm adoption and productivity gains.
• Contribute to domain modeling and design discussions; provide code reviews.
