Job summary

RJ Corman Railroad Group is seeking Train Crew Members to join our team in Winfield, WV. You will operate switches, build trains, and ensure compliance with safety rules while maintaining equipment to our standards.

Responsibilities include operating company vehicles, maintaining strong customer relations, and supporting a collaborative team environment on site. Prior railroad experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
• Ability to operate a range of vehicles and machinery safely.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Prior railroad or industrial switching experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate switches and brakes to ensure trains move safely between tracks.
• Build trains by attaching and detaching freight cars, inspecting trains for rules compliance and order accuracy.
• Ensure working conditions are safe, and proper PPE is used as required before starting any work.
• Safely operate company vehicles and other equipment, following RJ Corman safety practices.
• Practice good customer relations with proper radio etiquette and face to face communication.
• Maintain cordial co-worker relations to support a team environment and shared goals.
• Maintain facility and equipment to RJ Corman standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
