Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year backhoe operation experience
• Experience with railroad construction is preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy construction equipment safely
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance
• Pre-start inspections and daily lubrication tasks
• Grade earth and move material as required
• Install equipment or attachments on machinery
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and plans
• Locate underground services before starting work
• Lead a crew and assist with labor as needed
• Train others on the machine when required
• Perform other duties as assigned
