Job summary

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) in Alabama seeks a Railroad Safety Specialist-Training in the Track discipline to lead technical training efforts and organize training activities across the FRA.

The ideal candidate will provide guidance on FRA regulations, develop and deliver training programs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure enforcement policies are supported by effective safety training.

Qualifications

• Experience providing guidance, interpretation, and enforcement of FRA regulations and procedures concerning the Track discipline.
• Strong training development and delivery skills.
• Ability to coordinate training programs and systems across offices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for the Track discipline to determine training needs.
• Coordinate with FRA Management to align training with enforcement policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate training methods and guidance on inspection programs and rail safety training.
