Job summary

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking a Railroad Projects Manager in Jefferson City to lead coordination of railroad-related projects and programs. You will oversee review and approval of plans impacting railroad right of way and direct statewide safety initiatives at highway-rail grade crossings.

The role requires collaboration with railroads, department staff, local agencies, and other stakeholders, with responsibilities performed under general supervision.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Five years of highway/transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate approval of bridge and roadway plans with railroad officials.
• Negotiate contract provisions for highway projects over railroad right-of-way.
• Manage statewide highway-rail grade crossing safety improvement program.
• Supervise Railroad Section staff and coordinate project delivery.
• Serve as primary railroad coordination resource among railroads, agencies, and stakeholders.
