Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil or structural engineering degree.
• Engineer-in-Training exam completed.
• Five years of civil engineering experience with focus on structural or highway design.

Responsibilities

• Performs hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for bridge and grade separation designs.
• Evaluates alternatives and prepares cost estimates for practical designs.
• Prepares bridge memorandums for new structures or rehabilitations for internal agreements.
• Coordinates with department personnel, agencies, consultants, contractors, and suppliers for permits and final design.
• Coordinates and reviews data, surveys, and soundings with division and district staff.
