AECOM is seeking a Civil/Bridge Engineer to review railroad bridge designs, evaluate submittals, and resolve field issues in Bakersfield, CA. You will liaise with design consultants, construction management, and contractors to ensure project compliance with specs and standards.

The role supports delivery of complex railroad infrastructure through coordination, QA, and engineering judgment, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Experience with reinforced and prestressed concrete and structural steel.
• Knowledge of foundation systems and seismic design.
• Familiarity with AREMA, AASHTO LRFD and Caltrans standards.
• Ability to interpret design plans, calculations, and construction documents.
• Strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• PE license in CA or eligibility within six months.

Responsabilidades

• Review bridge design plans, submittals and RFIs for compliance.
• Coordinate with resident engineers and designers to resolve issues.
• Evaluate contractor proposals and field changes for constructability.
• Support QA, project documentation, and technical memos.
• Assist in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with FRA, CPUC, CalFire, and safety rules.
