AECOM is seeking a Railroad Bridge Engineer for roles in Sacramento, Bakersfield, or Fresno, CA. The role involves reviewing bridge designs, evaluating submittals, and resolving field issues to ensure project compliance with specifications and standards.

The position requires a BA/BS plus 8 years of relevant experience, knowledge of AREMA/AASHTO, and a California PE license (or ability to obtain within six months). On-site relocation and sponsorship are provided.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, structural steel and seismic design.
• Experience interpreting plans, calculations, specs and construction docs.
• Strong analytical writing and problem solving ability.
• Proficiency with MS Office and structural analysis/design software.
• CA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Review bridge designs, calculations, shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Evaluate contractor proposals and field design changes for compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, construction managers and contractors.
• Review falsework, shoring, temporary works and construction staging plans.
• Support QA through site and design reviews and documentation.
• Assist in preparing technical memoranda and final acceptance docs.
