Job summary

AECOM in Sacramento, CA is seeking two Railroad/Roadway Bridge and Guideway Inspectors to support the CAHSR project. You will perform field inspections, document construction activities, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and management to ensure safety and quality.

Qualified candidates have a BA/BS with 6+ years of experience, strong QA/QC knowledge, and proficiency in inspection reporting. Caltrans specs and Procore experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 6 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of bridge, guideway, heavy civil construction methods.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and specs.
• Experience documenting field inspections with daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection of bridges, guideways, elevated structures, retaining walls and foundations to verify compliance with plans and specs.
• Monitor construction activities involving structural concrete, steel, prestressed systems and bearings.
• Review inspection and testing reports, material certifications and QC docs for accuracy.
• Document daily activities, findings, deficiencies, photos, and progress using electronic reporting systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, Resident Engineers and QA staff to address non-conforming work.
