Job summary

TTX Company is seeking a Railcar Repairman in Norfolk, VA to repair, modify and upgrade railcars. You will weld, fabricate, and use cutting torches, performing mechanical labor most of the time while following blueprints and specifications.

You will operate tools including a forklift and various hand/power tools, inspect equipment, and document repairs in a digital system. The role requires safety compliance and flexible schedule in a dynamic rail yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies, and upgrades rail cars.
• Welds and fabricates using cutting torch.
• Performs mechanical labor (frequently).

• Enters repair information via electronic system.
