TTX Company in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Production Mechanic to repair, modify, and upgrade rail cars. You will rebuild components, weld, fabricate, and use torches to cut metal, performing mechanical labor to blueprints and specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and inspecting equipment to ensure proper operation. Expect 10-hour shifts, Mon-Thu with overtime, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a welding test may be required.

Qualificações

• Formal education, high school or equivalent.
• Knowledge: mechanical skills.
• Skills: welding and cutting.
• Must pass company established welding test.
• Mental factors: Decision making and reasoning, planning and scheduling.
• Preferred: Ability to speak, understand, and read English proficiently.

Responsabilidades

• Repair, modify, and upgrade rail cars according to blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect machines and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
• Measure, cut, and thread pipes and replace airlines.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and major components and test functionality.
• Repair broken parts using welding equipment.
