Job summary

AITX Repair Services is seeking candidates for Railcar Repair Technician roles at our Clinton, IN facility. You will read blueprints, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with FRA, AAR rules, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include interpreting work orders, coordinating repairs, and maintaining records. Benefits include 401K with match, health/vision/dental coverage, PTO, paid on-the-job training, and safety incentives.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English at a high school level.
• Ability to work in the heat and cold and in all-weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.
• Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics.
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

A Railcar Repair Technician at this facility will be responsible for all aspects of railcar repair and maintenance. The team members must be able to read and understand blueprints, make car repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR rules and keep good repair records. As well as ensuring all company guidelines , quality assurance and safety rules are followed and met while performing job duties.
