AITX Repair Services in Clinton, IN is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician responsible for all aspects of railcar repair and maintenance. You will read blueprints, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with FRA and AAR rules.

The role requires reading and writing English at a high school level, ability to work in heat and cold, and comfort around heavy equipment on and around railcars. We offer full health benefits, 401K, paid time off, training, and safety incentives.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English at a high school level.
• Ability to work in heat, cold and all-weather conditions.
• Comfortable around heavy equipment and on/around railcars.
• Knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including blueprints and schematics.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Interpret job work orders to perform required repairs.
• Coordinate and complete repairs efficiently within assigned hours.
• Follow safety rules, keep area clean and comply with EHS policies.
• Ensure AAR, ARS and customer quality standards are met.
