Job summary

AITX Repair Services in Mississippi is seeking Railcar Repair Technicians to perform repairs and maintenance on railcars in accordance with FRA and AAR rules. You will read blueprints, interpret work orders, and ensure accurate repair records while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English at a high school level.
• Ability to work in the heat and cold and in all-weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars.
• Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics.
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Interpret job work orders to perform required repairs
• Coordinate and complete repairs in an efficient manner and within assigned hours
• Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean and comply with all AITX EHS Policies
• Ensure AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
