Watco is seeking a railcar inspector in Louisiana to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with FRA and AAR regulations. The role includes re-rail operations, damage estimation at derailments, and accurate billing documentation per AAR guidelines.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, welding with 5F qualification, and ensuring safety compliance across all tasks. Training and development are provided to advance within the Watco team at our LA operations.

Qualifications

• 5F welding qualification completed for pipe.
• Reads and interprets blueprints accurately.
• Ensures compliance with FRA/AAR regulations.

Responsabilités

• Perform rail car inspections and repairs per FRA and AAR rules.
• Operate mobile cranes, wheel trucks, and forklifts safely.
• Maintain repair records and collaborate with other departments.
• Re-rail cars and estimate damages at derailment sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
