Job summary

Transco Rail Services is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to perform repair and maintenance on tank cars. You will lead with safety in mind, conduct inspections, and complete work orders while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance.

Responsibilities include using hand tools to perform repairs, adhering to AAR regulations, and working with a team in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment. Daily travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude, problem-solve and make decisions.
• Ability to use hand tools (pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets).
• Must handle and complete basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar repair and maintenance on tank cars following current procedures.
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance and complete necessary repairs.
• Provide quality customer support and accurate invoicing, inspections, and work orders.
