Job summary

Guardian Rail is hiring in the Ashdown area for Repair Technician roles. You will inspect and repair railcars to meet industry specs, using mechanical skills and a safety-first mindset.

Prior rail or heavy industrial experience is valuable, with opportunities for in-field welding or assembly tasks. Compensation includes a sign-on/retention bonus and a competitive pay scale based on skills and experience, with work in year-round outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and blueprints.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand & power tools.
• Able to work outdoors, physically active, and safe work practices.
• May require welding certification or experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs in accordance with FRA and AAR rules.
• Inspect railcars before and after service.
• Follow safety protocols and quality programs.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Assist in disassembly and repair of railcars when needed.
