Job summary

Transco Rail is hiring a Railcar Repair Technician in Baytown, TX to conduct repairs and inspections on tank cars, while maintaining safety and teamwork. You will support customers and manage paperwork and compliance with AAR rules.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely use common hand tools. TWIC and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with problem solving and decision making.
• Ability to use hand tools (pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets).
• TWIC preferred; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar repairs and inspections per procedures.
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance and repair as needed.
• Provide customer support to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain invoicing, inspection, and work order information.
• Adhere to AAR rules and maintain required certifications.
