Job summary

Cranemasters is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Car Repair Supervisor to lead and manage car repair crews supporting derailment response, railcar repair, load adjustment/transfer, and track maintenance and construction projects.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering exceptional service to railroad customers and regulatory stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years railroad industry experience and car repair experience.
• Knowledge of DOT, FRA, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign daily work to crews.
• Lead safety briefings and enforce PPE, FRA, DOT, and company standards.
• Oversee project execution, including hands-on work and equipment operation.
• Maintain communication with customers and regulatory agencies.
• Submit accurate payroll, equipment usage, and project reports.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members.
• Prepare job quotes (labor, equipment, logistics).
• Monitor and maintain equipment readiness.
