Job summary

Road & Rail Services is seeking a seasoned Terminal Manager to lead daily railcar repair and maintenance on-site. You will supervise mechanics, manage scheduling, and ensure safety and quality in all repairs.

The role demands hands-on leadership and strong mechanical expertise in diesel repair and welding. You will optimize workflow, control costs, and ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, DOT, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of mechanics or operators.
• Strong mechanical background in diesel repair, heavy equipment, or railcar repair.
• Welding, fabrication, and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge.
• Proven leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily railcar inspection, repair, welding, and mechanical maintenance activities.
• Oversee workflow, productivity, equipment utilization, and repair quality.
• Provide hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and technical assistance when needed.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, materials, and resources to meet operational demands.
• Ensure repairs meet applicable railroad industry and customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate operational results and staffing needs to senior leadership.
