Job summary

UTLX Manufacturing Incorporated is seeking a Repair Manager to lead railcar repair operations, directing supervisors across repair, lining, cleaning, coating, and painting. You will develop production schedules, prioritize activities, and coordinate resources to meet customer commitments.

This role requires 3–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, strong reading of technical drawings, regulatory knowledge, and a solid focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and regulatory docs.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead railcar repair operations through supervision of Repair Supervisors and Leads.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer commitments.
• Coordinate workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Ensure compliance with AAR, DOT, FRA, OSHA and company SOPs.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for supervisory staff.
• Collaborate with inspectors and quality personnel to uphold standards.
• Assist Plant Manager with budgeting and labor relations as needed.
• Serve as acting Plant Manager during absences.
