Job summary

UTLX is seeking an Inspector to conduct comprehensive in-process and NDT inspections of railcars, identify required repairs, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will maintain inspection records and release cars for interchange, with authority to pause work when issues arise.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in railcar repair, high school diploma, and the ability to obtain NDT VT Level II certification. Proficiency with AAR/FRA regulations and industry gauges is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and regulatory inspections of railcars and components.
• Report nonconforming conditions and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Review shop-floor documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate with production to plan shipments and ensure timely inspections.
