Job summary

TTX is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to repair, modify, and upgrade railcars, rebuild components, and perform welding and fabrication tasks. You will work from blueprints and specs, using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper operation and safety.

The role requires physical stamina for outdoor, industrial environments, lifting heavy parts, and operating forklifts; strict adherence to safety PPE and standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies, and upgrades rail cars.
• Rebuilds car components: bolsters, side framers, hitch heads, doors.
• Welds and fabricates; uses cutting torch (up to 30% of time).
• Performs mechanical labor (95% of time).
• Repairs/maintains railcars per blueprints and specs; uses hand/power tools and precision instruments.
