Job summary

TTX Company seeks a Railcar Repairman (Carman) in Ohio to repair, modify, and upgrade rail cars. You will rebuild components, weld as needed, and fabricate using cutting torches, cutting tools, and precision instruments. Forklift operation and data entry are also part of the job.

Responsibilities include following blueprints, performing 8–10 hour shifts outdoors, and ensuring safety and quality per industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modify, and upgrade rail cars.
• Rebuild car components (bolsters, side framers, hitch heads, doors).
• Weld (about 30%) and use cutting torch; perform mechanical labor.
• Repair and maintain railcars per blueprints using hand/power tools.
• Operate forklift to move and position parts.
• Measure, cut, and thread pipes; replace air lines.
• Assemble subassemblies and test for proper operation.
• Enter repair data into electronic system.
