Job summary

UTLX, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Quality Control Inspector in Newton Falls, OH. You will perform in-process and final inspections on railcar parts, identify nonconforming conditions, and maintain inspection records to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

You will work closely with production, review documentation, and support quality initiatives. The role requires the ability to read blueprints, operate inspection tools, and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to climb ladders and move about the facility.
• Basic computer literacy and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual, dimensional, and/or mechanical inspection of railcar parts and components throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
• Maintains an up-to-date inspection record of all inspections performed on each part or component as jobs move through the facility.
• Reviews shop floor documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Work with production to identify and plan shipments to ensure verifications/inspections are timely.
• Reports nonconforming conditions and follows up to ensure remedies are in place before release.
